Hello!
This is Hiruta from the Public Relations Section.
The AsReader brand has been providing products and solutions that propose to improve business efficiency by utilizing mobile devices and incorporating automatic recognition technology into business operations. We have been providing products and solutions that propose to promote business efficiency by using mobile devices and incorporating automatic recognition technology into business operations.

Image recognition is what Asterisk is currently focusing on in the development of the new AsReader.
This time, I would like to write about image recognition.

What is image recognition?

What is image recognition?

Image recognition technology has been discussed at auto-recognition exhibitions for some time, but I think it was Amazon Go, an unmanned convenience store, that got a lot of attention.
Amazon Go uses image recognition technology to manage all the products in the store.
When a customer picks up a product, it identifies the product, determines that it's been added to the cart, and then, just as the customer leaves the store, it makes the payment.
When the customer leaves the store, the payment is completed, making it an unmanned store without a cash register.

What is image recognition?
Image recognition is a pattern recognition technology that identifies objects by grasping features from images and videos.
Information such as features to identify an object is collected in a database, and the computer is made to learn the information.
Then, when a new object arrives, the computer can determine what it is based on the information it has acquired so far.
I thought it was quite a difficult technology...

So what is the image recognition that Asterisk proposes?
I can't talk about the inner technical details here, or rather I can't tell you, so I won't, but we are proposing a solution for tracking people by image recognition.

The system detects which "human" is in the picture from the information captured by the camera and tracks them.
As it tracks, it does not matter if the person wears a hat in the process.
It will track the person until he or she is framed out of the camera.

So where is this going to be used?
For example, it can be used to analyze areas in the current corona vortex that tend to be dense.
How about using it to check the flow lines in a store or factory?

Also! One more innovative use!
