AsReader exhibited at the National Retail Federation 2026 Expo

AsReader, Inc. exhibited at National Retail Federation (NRF) 2026 Expo, the world’s largest retail trade show, which was held in New York’s Jacob Javits Center January 11-13, 2026. NRF is the world’s largest exhibition in the retail technology sector, attracting retailers, distributors, and IT-related companies from the United States and around the globe, and this year was keynoted by actor Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is a successful entrepreneur and marketer, creating campaigns for Deadpool as well Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and the Match Group. He is an owner of Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile, Wrexham Football Club, Chief Creative Officer of MNTN and a co-founder of Maximum Effort Productions.
 

At the expo, AsReader showcased its RFID and barcode reader solutions with the aim of expanding sales in the global market, particularly in North America, Europe, and Latin America. In the RFID category, visitors had the opportunity to experience our smartphone-connected RFID reader/writers, highly evaluated for their modularity and usability and suitability for real-world operations.
 

Wearable RFID reader RecoHand® developed by Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President & CEO: Yasunari Hirata) was also displayed, with one-to-one RFID reading capability, enabling AsReader to propose solutions focused on improving on-site operational efficiency.
One of the booth highlights was the presentation of the annual Don Percival Award to Paul Whitney, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AsReader, Inc. as mentioned in this article linked here. Presented by AIM Global, the Don Percival Award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made outstanding practical contributions to the field of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). This award reflects the global recognition of AsReader’s technological excellence and its contributions to the industry.

Looking ahead to future product development and expansion in the U.S. market, AsReader also featured market research on edge AI cameras. With the support of NTT Innovative Devices Corporation (Headquarters: Yokohama, Japan; President & CEO: Hirohiko Tsukano), discussions were held to assess market potential and possible use cases in the U.S., European, and Latin American markets.

Companies that visited the booth and talked to the AsReader team over the three days included Diatrora Eyewear, Guitar Center, Lowes, Staples, B&H Photo, RTM Nexus, Hitachi, Atlas Tool Management in Toronto, and Good’s Retail Store in NJ, and hundreds of others.
