●iPhone or iPod touch does not work

Remove AsReader and restart the iOS device.
If it still does not work, contact the Apple Store.

●The application does not start or crash

Contact the application’s developer.
If the application is one of the AsReader App series, please contact us.

●AsReader does not work, light up, or read

Check the connection between the iOS device and the AsReader. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the AsReader device. *1 How to check your connection

There is a possibly that your battery isn’t charged, please check it.
The ASX models (ASX-510R, 520R, and 30xR series) do not have the function to check the battery remaining. So please charge it for a while and then try it again.
For ASR modular models (ASR-010D, 020D or 03xD), the battery charge-level is displayed by blue LED lights on the lower-backside of the AsReader device. You display these lights by connecting an iOS device, opening a Non-AsReader window (ie: iOS Homescreen) and then pressing the trigger button(s) of the AsReader device for 5 seconds.

Try closing and restarting the application.

Some applications may require setup steps for scanning.
Check the manual to see if all settings are correct.

Check Firmware version *3 how to check Firmware version
Firmware may be old, check if it is the latest version. Contact the seller you purchased the device from to check for the latest version. If the version is old, please contact your seller for information about firmware and status.

●Unable to charge

It takes about 2 hours to fully charge an AsReader device from empty. During charging, the read/charge LED light on the lower-front of the AsReader is red and turns off when the charging complete.

The AsReader or iOS device cannot be charged completely or inconsistently charges.
If the electrical current is lower than 1Amp, this can occur. We strongly recommend using Apple’s USB Adapter. Be sure to charge at a place where there is enough electrical current.

AsReader’s read/charge LED Light does not turn on and only the iOS device is charging.
This is not a problem. Once AsReader’s battery is full, the read/charge LED light does not turns off and all electrical current goes to the iOS device.

iOS device is not charging, but the AsReader is.
Check if AsReader is properly connected to the iOS device. *1 how to check the connection
Try removing and reconnecting the AsReader device. Be careful of breaking the Lightning Connector when removing. *2 how to remove
